Training Course Subsidies and Discounts
Southport College can offer help with the cost of your training courses through various funding programmes and discount offers, subject to eligibility.
10% discount for members
Become an Employer Member and receive a 10% discount on all your training courses. Member companies are companies who have offered work placements to our students and help us to enhance the learning experience. For details on how to become a member, click here
SkillWorks
The SkillWorks programme has already helped many employers on Merseyside to develop their workforce. Companies who qualify can claim up to 60% off training costs and each company can access up to £60k from the fund. The discount is open to companies within Merseyside who have less than 250 employees and a turnover below £35,000,000 (subject to eligibility).
Train to Gain
Research has shown that over a million people in the UK do not have the right skills to do their job proficiently. Ensuring your employees have the right skills can help boost productivity and keep you ahead of the competition.
Train to Gain offers a contribution towards training course costs, and in some cases can pay the full cost, for NVQ qualifications (subject to conditions).
ESF Second Level 2
Funding is available to fully fund a second Level 2 qualification for businesses that employ more than 250 staff in Lancashire or Mersesyside.
