Southport College would like to invite Year 10 and Year 11 pupils who are thinking about what they can do after school to try out one of our courses.

On Tuesday 9 February from 5.15pm to 8.30pm Southport College’s Open Evening will include taster sessions in a wide selection of our courses.

Tasters are designed to help pupils make informed decisions about what they’d like to study after their GCSEs. Our workshops are run by industry-trained staff and offer pupils hands-on experience in the subject(s) of their choice. They will be able to take advantage of our facilities and professional training areas and get a feel for the College.

Potential students can build and fire their own rocket in our engineering workshop, learn how to style long hair in our hairdressing salon and create 3D models in our IT taster. Places on the 45-minute tasters are offered on a first come, first served basis. Individuals or groups can guarantee places by booking now.

At Open Evening, everyone will also have the opportunity to talk to course tutors in our Information Zone, quiz current students about College life, go on a tour of the Campus and enter our prize draw to win a £50 HMV gift card.
